Why Use SEAL FACE

Insul Coat/Polyshield

SEAL FACE Insul Coat is a self smoothing, two component seamless system with closed cell structure which can be applied on different types of thermal insulation materials to provide a non porosity / non conductivity, dust proof surface with excellent resistance to UV rays, moisture, oil, grease, chemicals, dirt etc
Why Use SEAL FACE
The exposed skin of an insulation system applied over a building surface is frequently subjected to thermal shock, such as a drop in temperature after a sudden shower on a sunny day. In addition to possessing low thermal diffusivity, the material should also possess high resilience in order to prevent thermally-activated rupture
SEAL FACE Insul Coat once cured acts as a second protective skin and becomes an integral part of insulation, hence it resists heat transfer to the insulation material and prolongs the life of insulation considerably.
Advantage
• Excellent resistance to UV rays
• To give a weather-proof covering.
• Excellent abrasion resistance and impact resistance
• To give protection against rains, excessive moisture, corrosive vapors etc
• To protect against chemical attack and mould growth
• To improve the appearance and make it easy to clean
• Easy to mix and apply, seamless coating by brush/roller
AREAS OF APPLICATION
• Moisture resistance, dusts free and hygienic conditions are needed
• It can be used very effectively in Air-condition duct, Chill water lines, Trench piping etc., When applied in two coats of Insul Coat with 7 mil reinforcing glass fabric embed between coats

As insulation materials are a soft resilient product, Seal Face cannot be directly applied, as the same will develop cracks due to low mechanical strength of the Insulation material. Hence, a reinforcing material in the form of the tape is used to strengthen the coating. The tapes are made of fiberglass yarn, which is a natural fire retardant fiber with capacity to withstand a temperature of 500 ?C. Fibreglass tape is helically wound on to the insulated surface.

Method of Preparation

Seal Face coating is a two component system, consisting of Resin + Hardener. A clean plastic bucket preferably of 3 liters capacity is suitable for mixing. Mix the resin & hardener thoroughly in its containers before pouring the liquid into the bucket. One kg of resin (part A) is poured into the bucket and 0.600 kg of hardener (part B) is added to the resin. The material is then thoroughly mixed for at least 5 minutes to obtain a homogeneous mix. This is very critical, as improper mixing will should be taken to mix the exact quantities of resin & hardener and any variation will result in changes of the characteristics. After mixing the material, the coating can be commenced immediately. The curing will complete in 3-4 hrs for each coat. .two coats of Seal Face are required for insulation protection

NOTE: Do not mix more than one lot of 1.6 Kgs. at a time if the number of people coating are less than 2. As the reaction is exothermic, excessive quantity mixing will result in gelatin (hardening) in the container itself .Once mixed the reaction starts and should be used immediately. Mixed resin should not be kept in the bucket
